Starter: Ancestral Puebloan Culture/History

• At your tables, elect one note-taker!
• Write down everything you know or have learned this year about Ancestral Puebloans (time periods, different groups, where and how they lived, what they hunted, what types of tools they used)

1. Drafts due Friday, start of class!
2. No class Wednesday- Freshmen Explore career panel and job fair
3. 20% time on Friday (but shortened schedule to do gear check)
4. Bring your bags fully packed with everything from the packing list on Friday! Packing lists are posted in google classroom (stream?)

Exploring Ancestral Puebloan Artifacts!

We're going to scope out the artifacts that Crow Canyon Archaeological Center sent us!

Step 1: In your table groups, look through the materials you receive

• Choose 3-4 artifacts that stand out to you.
  
• Take a guess on the following:

1. When (like what year(s)) were they from?
2. What were their function or purpose?
3. How were they made or produced?
4. What is a question you have about them?

Step 2: Read through the handout I give your group and....

1. Identify correctly the artifacts you have with the handout descriptions
2. Choose 2 artifacts to present to the class and share what you learned about it!
3. Elect a spokesperson (or 2) to come up and present!
